The Animation Is Film Fest in Los Angeles will present Gold Kingdom and Water Kingdom, Oni: Thunder God’s Tale – News

The official site of GKIDSAnnecy and Variety The magazine’s Animation Is Film Festival announced Thursday that it will hold the world premiere of Kingdom of Gold and Kingdom of Waterthe anime movie of Nao Iwamoto‘S Kin no Kuni Mizu no Kuni manga, on October 21.

The festival will also host the California-based studio’s theatrical world premiere Tonko House‘S Oni: God’s Tale of Thunder CGI animated series. The world premiere in cinemas will be screened on 22 October. Show creator and director Daisuke “Dice” Tsutsumi and producers Robert Kondo, Sara K. Sampson and Kane Lee will hold a Q&A session at the screening.

GKIDS will select the “Summer ghost“anime short film during the festival on October 22nd. GKIDS previously announced that he would screen the short in North American theaters this summer. The company screened a preview on Anime Expo on July 1st. This year’s Annecy International Animation Film Festival screened the short film on June 15th and 17th. GKIDS will release the short on Blu-ray Disc and digital platforms on November 1st.

The festival will take place at TCL Chinese 6 Theaters in Hollywood, Los Angeles, October 21-23.

Kingdom of Gold and Kingdom of Water will be released in theaters in Japan next spring.

Oni: God’s Tale of Thunder will debut on Netflix this year, and will have four episodes.
