From Labor Museumof the launch last year, they discussed key employment issues in the industry through dialogue with museum colleagues across the country. A common thread of these conversations were the experiences of museum workers with the Young Canada Works (YCW) program. Museum Labor has undertaken research on YCW and consulted with other groups of emerging museum professionals on this topic.
To gain a deeper understanding of YCW’s prospects, barriers and participation, they are launching a investigation on the program. They would appreciate anyone who has participated in the program taking the time to share your thoughts and experiences, regardless of whether you have held a YCW position.
The research progress will be presented at the National Trust Conference in October 2022 and a full report will be shared with the wider museum community later this year.
If you have any questions about the survey, please contact them via e-mail.
