Microsoft will launch new Surface PCs on October 12th

Microsoft’s range of Surface PCs is often considered the closest parallel to Apple’s Mac computers that exist in the Windows ecosystem and among the best laptops you can get. And the Redmond-based behemoth is gearing up for its upcoming announcements of Surface in a few weeks.

Microsoft has announced that it will hold its “Microsoft Fall 2022 Event” on October 12 at 10am. The event will be held just before the start of its annual developer-focused Ignite event in Seattle from the same day through October 14, which is, in fact, its first in-person event since the start of the pandemic. The hardware event invitation graphic is the Windows 11 wallpaper with watercolor-like stains and handwritten “Save the Date” at the top, and Microsoft has confirmed it will “be talking about devices.”

Among the expected announcements, we will likely see the company launch Surface Pro 9 and Surface Laptop 5, and possibly Surface Studio 3 as well. Pro 9 and the choice between an ARM and an x86 CPU. However, we won’t know for sure until they are released. Microsoft may also have other hardware surprises in tow.

Be sure to tune in to Microsoft’s event on October 12th. We’ll also give you everything you need to know about these new devices as soon as they are announced, of course, so stay tuned.
