Google will officially launch Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro in India, confirms Flipkart- Technology News, Firstpost

Google had stopped releasing its flagship Pixel devices in India after the Pixel 3 series, mainly due to the Indian market’s response to the main Pixel series. This time around, however, we know for sure that Google will definitely release the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, thanks to Flipkart.

Online retailer Flipkart has posted a teaser on its website confirming the upcoming launch of the Pixel 7 series in India. According to the very short teaser page, both Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro will launch in India soon.

For the past couple of years, Google hasn’t released its major flagship devices in India, such as the Pixel 4, Pixel 5, and Pixel 6. Instead, it has focused solely on A-series devices, such as the Pixel 3a, Pixel 4a, and more recently , the Pixel 6a.

The Pixel 7 series launch will be India’s first major Pixel phone since 2018. Flipkart, which has been Google’s online retail partner for all Pixel launches, has no further details to offer regarding the launch at the moment. .

If speculation is anything to rely on, Google will launch the Pixel 7 series, as well as three Pixel Watch series smartwatches, in the first week of October, at their Made By Google event.

The event will be mainly online, that is Google will live stream the launch event. The company will also host an in-person event in Brooklyn, New York after about two years of virtual ads.

Google shared a blog post announcing the event and sharing links on how people can watch the launch event and where people can sign up for launch notifications.

In other Pixel 7 series news, Google has begun to search for manufacturing partners in India and is currently soliciting offers from various manufacturers and suppliers in the country as it prepares to move much of its production out of China.

Google has planned to move a major part of its production of the next Pixel 7 series outside of China. Initially, Google had planned to relocate approximately 25-30% of production to Vietnam. However, Google is currently soliciting offers from Indian manufacturers to assemble 5.00,000 to 10.00,000 Pixel 7 series devices, which will represent around 10-20% of the estimated annual production for the device.
