Aspiring Michigan Governor Tudor Dixon knows what porn is, he’s going to describe it in weird detail!

Republican Tudor Dixon is currently losing the Michigan government run to Democratic incumbent Gretchen Whitmer. The average of Real Clear Politics polls so far is “LOL, go home, loser”.

She’s desperate, we get it, but when Republicans are in trouble, they usually brush up on some Willie Horton-style racial grooming. It’s a classic. Instead, Dixon declared war on porn. That’s not how he wins the election. He should consider an affirmatively pro-porn platform.

So, like most porn storylines, the way we got here is weird. Last week, there was a collective panic over some teacher training videos on LGBTQ issues. In one video, a trainer advised a teacher to discuss a student’s suicidal thoughts without directly disclosing their gender or sexual identity to her parents.

Dixon called the videos “disgusting” and said the Michigan Department of Education was “instructing teachers on how to help children transition sexually and recommending that teachers hide a child’s” chosen name and pronouns “from their own. parents, “even if their child is suicidal.”

Conservatives, who apparently have never been children personally, assume that vulnerable students would still confide in teachers if they believed everything they shared would end up being transcribed in detail for their parents. In their twisted minds, “groomer” teachers are actively turning children into homosexuals.

However, this looks ugly and plays in line with the average voter’s concerns about alleged “parental rights”. No parent likes to feel like another adult has joined in between them and their children.

But seriously, how did this escalate into pornographic forays?

Dixon said that “our own state agency is being used as a weapon to actively recruit our children and advance their radical gender theory without any input from parents.” She asked Whitmer to “condemn this radical and dangerous nonsense” and it was just a day before the Whitmer administration asked the Michigan Department of Education to “keep bringing parental perspectives into the work you do.”

Whitmer chief operating officer Tricia Foster denounced the training and sent a burning letter to state superintendent Michael Rice. She wrote: “We urge you to review your training courses to ensure they comply with all applicable regulations, maintain departmental guidelines and reflect best practices.” (Dixon argues that this “doesn’t count” and Whitmer obviously “agrees with radical sex and gender activists.”)

Rice defended the training because, as he wrote in a Monday editorial for Bridge Michigan, “not all parents are supportive when they find out or are told their child is gay or transgender.” However, I appreciate the counter-argument that bad parents might also abuse their kids or throw them on the street for a bad report card. Is there a reasonable line to be drawn that will protect children?

Pushing her lead, Dixon asked Rice to step down Tuesday at a press conference outside the Michigan Department of Education. Kind of like dialogue in porn, her remarks of hers were awkward and weird before she even got to the actual porn.

DIXON: We have a school district like Muskegon that prides itself on how their new middle schools won’t have boys or girls bathrooms, they’ll all be gender neutral. Imagine in such a critical age. Maybe you have a stomach ache and go to the bathroom, and your school crush comes right after you, we can’t have some privacy for our kids at such a critical age.

Gay guys already use the same bathroom as their “school crush”. Additionally, most gender-neutral bathrooms are designed with individual cabins, so there’s still privacy. Boys and girls can probably wash their hands in the same sink

Dixon has escalated his attack on gender-neutral school libraries. He swears that as governor “he would make sure we don’t have children reading pornography — or that a teacher reads pornography to a child at school.” Anyway, ma’am, if I’m ever governor of Oregon, I’ll try to make sure the students aren’t riding unicorns in the hallways. Accidents can happen.

Dixon was asked how he would define “pornography” and she kindly agreed! I guess everyone gives the reporter a high five. The serious candidate for governor described pornography as “two naked people, performing one sexual act and several different sexual acts”. It’s so plain vanilla it’s not even double.

How graphic are Dixon think the books in school libraries are? He is likely to assume that any reference, no matter how subtle, to gay people fucking is “pornography”.

My official Wonkette source in Detroit says she hasn’t seen a single Dixon ad on TV. It’s all Big Gretch. Dixon had a chance to lead a news cycle, but instead made herself look ridiculous. “Parental rights” are constantly polling better than “burning books”.

This was a silly move, but I guess I can’t blame her for holding a grudge against porn. Her parents named her Tudor Dixon.
