Kylie Jenner accuses the makeup artist of spreading “false information” on the lab photos

Kylie Jenner accused Emmy-winning cosmetics developer and makeup artist Kevin James Bennett of spreading “false information” after Bennett said Jenner was “gas lighting” her followers in photos she posted from a factory in Italy. earlier this week.

Bennett, who has worked as a key makeup artist on shows like “As The World Turns” and “Another World,” said the beauty mogul didn’t follow the appropriate protocols in a series of photos she shared on Instagram.

“I’m a cosmetics developer and I work with cosmetic manufacturers (and their labs) as part of my work,” Bennett said on Instagram Wednesday. “I have very short hair and I have NEVER been allowed to enter the laboratory or production area without a hair net, shoe covers, mask … and disposable GLOVES.”

“Kylie is tricking her followers into thinking she’s making cosmetics,” Bennett added. “And I’d like to know which ignorant producer (in Italy) allowed her to stage this photo-op in their lab and production area – without following proper sanitation protocols. I need the name because I want to make sure my clients NEVER work with them.

Jenner responded directly to the makeup artist on her Instagram post, telling Bennett that the photos “weren’t taken at a manufacturing facility.”

“I would never ignore health protocols or any other celebrity or beauty brand owner,” she said, adding, “it’s totally unacceptable, I agree.”

“This is a little personal space that creates my fun samples and takes photos for content that doesn’t even come close to mass production,” added the 24-year-old. “Nobody puts customers at risk! shame on you Kevin for spreading false information !!!! ”

Bennett responded, again accusing Jenner of “serious gaslighting”, while he was “looking into an expensive blender kettle that had processed at least 50 liters of a complexion product (the product that still covers the mixing paddles) without PPE. or hair gathered up, wearing a lab coat @weareregi? “

“But isn’t this a cosmetics manufacturing plant? Is it a personal space? ” she questioned. “Wow, there’s some serious gaslighting going on here.”

Jenner responded simply by saying, “oh were you there Kevin? Ugh now I have to change my dog’s name. (Jenner actually has a dog named Kevin.)

Bennett did not shy away from his accusations and ended up calling Selena Gomez on a separate Instagram for a series of photos he had posted that were similar to Jenner’s in an Italian lab in July. Gomez also has a makeup line, Rare Beauty.

“Celebrities shouldn’t be allowed to bypass hygiene protocols for a photo shoot just because they’re rich or famous,” Bennett said, calling the producers and asking Jenner and Gomez to apologize.

“Kylie and Selena are BOTH WRONG and should publicly apologize for requiring labs to violate health protocols for their self-promotion,” he wrote.
