Data protection bill withdrawn by Lok Sabha; government plans new “set of laws” in winter session – The Economic Times Video

The government on Wednesday withdrew the personal data protection bill from Lok Sabha and said it will come out with a “set of new legislation” that will fit the full legal framework. “The government will present a series of new laws for a comprehensive legal framework for the digital economy,” IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, who moved to withdraw the bill in the House, told PTI.
